Congregational Services-(otherwise noted) 9:15 a.m. & 11:15 a.m. with Religious Education and Nursery Childcare available. We are a diverse and growing religious community with over 400 adult members and a religious education program that serves more than 150 children and youth. Gathered as a congregation in 1951, we are grounded in the centuries-old religious heritage of American Unitarian and Universalist theologies, and are a member congregation of the national Unitarian Universalist Association.
Welcome to the Unitarian Society of New Haven! We warmly invite you to join us on Sundays for worship, with religious education available for children. If you would like to visit and/or attend a Sunday service, please click here for directions. Our congregation exists for three primary purposes: to assist both children and adults in the journey toward spiritual wisdom and maturity; to provide our members with a nurturing community bound by mutual respect and compassion; and to empower us to live out our values for justice and equity in the wider world. We welcome all who seek an open-minded and open-hearted religious community. Please join us!

The Adult Choir will hold rehearsals on Thursdays in the Children’s Chapel at 7:30 p.m. This is an excellent time to join. Singing together brings out such surprising, magical moments, it promotes friendships and group bonding, and our music enhances the worship services.
The Youth Choir is also looking for new members. We meet on the first Sunday of every month between services from 10:30-11:00am. On the other Sundays we meet from 12:30-1:00 after the second service. We sing once a month, usually the third Sunday at both services. I encourage those children who come to first service RE classes to meet with me at 8:50 for 20 minutes –a quick rehearsal--prior to the opening of the first service. That way you can be an active member of the youth choir and don’t have to come at 12:30pm. Give me a call if you have a child who would be interested in singing in this group. (Second-Eighth graders are eligible). If you have a child who is younger and would like to try the choir please contact me.
