Our Unitarian Universalist stories shape who we are. Some may remember the “Famous UU” tee shirts? A few decades ago we walked around proudly with a long list on our chest of names of heroes from Susan B. Anthony to Charles Darwin and Paul Robeson.
Now our 21st century selves have to humbly ask new questions of how privilege, racism, gender and cultural prejudices may cause damage along with good works. Consider our most ancient Unitarian cousins in Transylvania. And we have to ask, do we listen to the marginalized voices in understanding who we are together? What does it really mean that we have survived over 450 years? Join us in a new way of remembering our UU stories.
