Each year we gather as a multi-generational community to honor the spiral march of space and time, looking as much behind to where we’ve been as forward to where we are going.  But are the lines of life’s spirals smooth, and evenly spaced, or are there irregularities, bumps and even bruises that form as we curve outward?  What can we learn each time we spiral around to these imperfections, even as the future unfolds itself before us?
