Rev. Stephen Kendrick
Minister
Rev. Stephen Kendrick joined USNH as our Contract Minister on August 1, 2023. Prior to coming to USNH, he served for twenty years as Senior Minister at First Church Boston, Unitarian Universalist, where he is now honored as Minister Emeritus. Over more than forty years of ministry, Stephen has also served congregations in Columbia, MD; West Hartford, CT; and ten chapels across the West Midlands of England.
An accomplished author, Stephen has written six books, including three co-authored with his son, Paul, exploring race and politics in American history. His writing has appeared in publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Christian Century, and the Hartford Courant. He holds degrees from Princeton University, Harvard Divinity School, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Hollins University.
